Patch Notes 0.14

Living Locations System

This update introduces a major and promising feature—Living Location System. That’s right! From now on, every location in the game is dynamic. But what does that actually mean? Let’s dive in.

Random Events

Starting with this update, you’ll encounter random events while exploring—because Amiterra is alive, even when you’re not there.

A couple of spoiler-free examples:
— Keep an eye on a particularly gluttonous and suspicious Oglepuff lurking near berry bushes.
— Stay sharp! Other Explorer NPCs are now roaming Amiterra. Maybe they could use your help?

This is just the beginning—we’re planning to introduce even more events to make your adventures in Amiterra even more exciting. Stay tuned!

Weather Conditions

Weather is a brand-new feature that now influences which types of Amikins appear more frequently. For example, when it rains, you’ll encounter more Water-type Amikins and even have a higher chance of finding a shiny one. The same system applies to other Amikin types—Heat Waves boost Fire-type spawns, Electrical Storms increase Electric-type encounters, and Sandstorms bring out more Earth-type Amikins.

Adapt to Amiterra’s changing weather and turn it to your advantage—catch more Amikins!

Location Reset Cycle

We're boosting resource availability and Amikin encounters across all locations while also making major changes to how locations refresh.

From now on, simply re-entering a location won’t instantly replenish its resources and Amikins. Instead, each resource node, nest, or event now has its own individual reset timer, while a full location reset takes 1.5 hours. So, once you’ve gathered everything near the entrance, head deeper into the location—there’s plenty more waiting to be discovered!

Dealing with the Red Nexus

We’re thrilled with the community’s positive response to the Home Base Invasion and are excited to keep improving this mechanic.

Now, you can chop down Red Nexuses with an axe to lower the Wild Amikins’ Rage Meter and delay their raid on your base. But be careful—these Red Nexuses aren’t unguarded!

Also, keep in mind that Red Nexuses now spawn in locations matching your current tier. For example, when you move up to Tier 3, they’ll appear there while disappearing from Tier 2.

The Road to True Dynamic Locations

Our goal with these changes is to make every visit to familiar locations feel fresh and exciting. This is just the beginning of our journey toward a truly dynamic world, and we’re excited to keep building and evolving the game to make it even more fun for you, explorers!
