Patch Notes 1.0

Explorers, welcome to Amikin Village 1.0! The world you step into still feels warm and familiar—but deep within, everything has changed.

Like a phoenix rising quietly from its own flame, the very heart of the game has been rebuilt from scratch to unlock a whole new level of potential. This major overhaul lays a solid foundation for everything that’s yet to come.

In this update, we’ve revamped nearly every major aspect of the game. The Codex may look the same, but it’s now a deeper, more central system. You’ll also find a new approach to Amikin progression, a brand-new Battle Pass system, and the long-awaited female character.

To celebrate our first year together, all players receive a gift: a pair of collectible glasses and 3 days of VIP access. Additionally, players who joined Amikin Village before Update 1.0 will get extra crafting materials as a thank-you for their early support.

NEW AMIKIN PROGRESSION SYSTEM

ami_zendesk_dna3.png

This update introduces a completely reimagined system for catching and evolving Amikins—one that brings more meaning, strategy, and immersion to the game. From now on, you’ll need to study Amikins before you can catch or evolve them. In simple terms: it’s all about exploration.

The Codex is Now the Core

Every Amikin species in the Codex now requires their DNA to be upgraded—a brand-new resource found in Eggs and Battle Pass rewards. The Codex has become the cornerstone of Amikin development.

To catch and evolve an Amikin, you must first collect its DNA and unlock its ranks in the Codex.
No coins needed—everything in the Codex is powered by DNA alone. Want to evolve your favorite? Better start upgrading its entry!

Catching Has Changed

Think of the Codex as your guide to catching. It proves you've studied a specific Amikin species enough to earn the right to capture it.

Here’s how it works: if your Codex shows Budbud is unlocked up to Rank 3, and you catch a wild Rank 4 Budbud—the caught one will automatically be reduced to Rank 3. This rule applies to all wild Amikins. It does not affect those obtained from Battle Pass rewards or purchased.

Also, keep in mind: Amikins now have two level caps—one depends on your character level, and the other on the Amikin’s star rank (shown as rays on their star icon). You’ll only be able to reach the lower of these two caps.

For example, an Evo 1 Amikin with 1 star (1 ray) can only reach level 10, with 2 stars (2 rays) up to level 15, and a fully ranked 5-star Amikin can reach level 40—but only if your character level is also high enough.

So here’s the golden rule: Codex first, catching second. Want to add higher-rank Amikins to your team? Upgrade them in the Codex first.

Fusion Chamber Part

The Fusion Chamber is still your go-to for leveling up and evolving your Amikins, but now it works hand in hand with your Codex progress.

Star Rank & Evolution Upgrades: Now powered by Nexus Gemlets, the Fusion Chamber lets you upgrade your Amikins’ star rank and even trigger evolution—but only up to the stage and rank you've already unlocked in the Codex. No need to fuse duplicates—just Gemlets.

Leveling Amikins: You can raise your Amikins’ level using elemental essences or by fusing other Amikins into them.

One last thing: the structure of evolution stages remains the same—each evolution consists of 5 ranks, represented as rays on the star icon. You’ll find this and more in your Codex, which is now your most trusted companion in Amiterra.

Battle Passes System

ami_zendesk_paths.png

Almost every core system in Amikin Village now comes with its own Battle Pass. And now, almost every action you take in the game contributes to progress in one of them. If you’ve played other games before, this concept might feel familiar. If not—here’s how it works: complete tasks to earn rewards that help you progress in various areas of the game.

Each Battle Pass is themed around a specific development Path and provides matching resources, equipment, or bonuses. Progressing through these Battle Passes is now an essential part of thriving in Amiterra—no true explorer can advance without them.

Main Path (Available from Level 1)

As the name suggests, this is your general progress tracker across the world of Amiterra. It includes building blueprints, weapon technologies, useful items, and DNA for some basic Amikins.

The Main Path directly matches your character level—every level you gain moves you forward along this path. It has no time limit and serves as a permanent, structured replacement for the old story progression system (like the “Find Your Brother” questline).

As the game evolves, new stages will be added to this Path to reflect your ongoing journey.

Season Path (Available from Level 15)

Like all Battle Passes except the Main Path, this one is time-limited. It’s refreshed periodically and always brings unique, themed rewards.

The very first Season Pass launches with Update 1.0! It’s packed with valuable rewards—but the biggest highlight is a brand-new, exclusive Amikin: Buzzby.

You’ll learn more about this curious companion in the New Amikins section.

Codex Path (Available from Level 15)

This Battle Pass is tailored to support all aspects of Amikin management. It offers essential resources for Codex progression, including DNA, random DNA boxes known as DNA Pods, Ami Gear, and Rejuvenex—a special item that lets you heal your Amikins even during your expeditions across Amiterra. Everything in this Path is designed to help you grow and evolve your Amikin team more efficiently.

Arena Path (Available from Level 17)

This Pass replaces the rewards previously tied to the Ancient Arena leaderboard—such as special weapons and Tree Sentinels, which are still available here, now as part of the Arena Path reward pool alongside other new prizes.

It now offers two types of rewards:
DNA for unlocking and upgrading powerful Evo2 Amikins, tailored for combat or work roles.
— And as the ultimate prize: exclusive shiny Amikins, rare and valuable trophies for top-performing players.

The Arena system has also been reworked:
Every day, a new PvP ladder launches—replacing the old 3.5-day cycle with faster and more consistent progression.
— There are now 3 leagues, each split into 3 divisions (instead of 5), simplifying the climb to the top and improving reward access.
Arena progress resets every 14 days, in sync with the Arena Path reset. Players start fresh each cycle, with a new shot at the top—and a streamlined path to Gold rewards.

The Ancient Arena’s leaderboard contributes progress points to your Arena Path. The better your performance, the faster you climb—and the better your loot.

Industrial Path (Available from Level 17)

This Pass helps you gather the resources needed to build and upgrade your base. It also includes powerful tools for resource collection throughout Amiterra. Notably, exclusive resources for upgrading production buildings can now only be found here—they no longer spawn in the wild, providing a more predictable and consistent path for base development.

Reset & Loop Mechanics

With the exception of the Main Path, all Battle Passes reset every two weeks. Once you reach the final reward tier, they enter a looping state—meaning the most active players can keep earning bonus rewards as long as they continue completing tasks ahead of the reset.

Female Character

ami_zendesk_fem.png

No need for long introductions—the long-awaited female character is finally here, a feature players have been asking for since Early Access.

You can now fully customize your appearance at the brand-new Personal Tent—a fresh addition to your home base. More customization features will be added there in future updates, but for now, it lets you freely change your character’s look. And to celebrate this update, every player gets one free gender swap—no strings attached.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the female model—her look, hairstyle options, and everything else. Your feedback helps us keep improving!

New Amikins

ami_zendesk_1.0.png

Two special newcomers arrive in this update—and they’re unlike anything you’ve seen before!

Buzzby – A quirky Tier 1 Electric-type Amikin that looks like a wide-eyed pufferfish floating in a bubble... and somehow loving it. Don’t let the silly grin fool you—Buzzby is exclusive to the very first Season Path and totally worth the chase.

Lootie – A unique roaming Amikin that now shows up across Amiterra from Tier 2 and up. It looks like a sneaky little walking treasure nest—and the moment you get close, it takes off! Catch and defeat it, and you’ll score a bundle of valuable loot it’s been “safekeeping” just for you.

Other Changes and Improvements

ami_improvements_1.0.png

Renewed Crafting Recipes – Weapon and armor crafting has been reworked: Amikin essences are no longer part of the recipe. Instead, you’ll now need unique resources found in Amikin nests and as Battle Pass rewards. Previously, nests held materials for base production buildings—now they’re your source for gear-related components.

Expanded Home Base – Your base just got a serious upgrade! The territory has been significantly expanded, giving you more space to build, customize, and grow your domain.

Essence Rebalance – Amikin essences are now used exclusively for leveling up your Amikins. They’ve also become rarer across Amiterra, making them more valuable than ever.

Wild Amikin Detection Radius Reduced – By popular community request, wild Amikins will no longer spot you from as far away as before. But stay alert: most of them are social creatures and love calling in their friends for backup.

Incubator System Update – You can no longer hatch powerful Amikins just by opening a set number of eggs. Instead, hatching now grants DNA points and fully follows the Codex-based system of progression.

Level System Update – The max level is now 80. To match the new scale, all existing player levels have been recalculated accordingly. This doesn’t affect your character’s actual power, but makes progression feel smoother—especially for newcomers.

Armband Restriction – You can no longer assign identical Amikins to multiple band slots.
