Amikin Skills
November 18, 2024
In the vibrant world of Amitera, each creature can possess up to four special skills. These skills are assigned at random during capture, creation, hatching, or purchase. Some skills improve your Amikin’s performance, while others may introduce minor drawbacks—depending on how they’re acquired.!
1. Skill Slots
- Maximum Slots: Every Amikin has exactly 4 skill slots.
-
Random Assignment (Capture): Whenever you capture an Amikin, each slot is checked independently to see if it receives a skill:
- Slot 1: 75% chance
- Slot 2: 50% chance
- Slot 3: 25% chance
- Slot 4: 5% chance
It’s possible (though rare) to end up with four skills at once—if luck is on your side!
2. How Amikins Acquire Skills
-
Eggs & Purchases
- When an Amikin hatches from an egg or you buy one directly, it cannot start with a negative skill.
-
Captures
- Wild Amikins can have negative skills, following the standard chances listed above. Beware: these drawbacks may affect your new friend’s performance.
3. Types of Skills
Skills come in three variations: Negative, Positive I, and Positive II. Below is a quick guide to each skill type and how it can affect your Amikin:
Skill | Negative | Positive I | Positive II |
Movement Speed |
-5% | +5% | +10% |
Work Speed |
-10% | +20% | +40% |
Damage |
-5% | +5% | +10% |
Max HP |
-10% | +10% | +20% |
Hunger Speed |
+10% | -10% | -20% |
Provocation Time |
-1 sec | +1 sec | +2 sec |
Player Damage |
-5% | +5% | +10% |
- Negative Skills: These reduce certain stats, which might make an Amikin less effective for specific tasks (like combat or resource gathering).
- Positive Skills: These boost important stats, turning your Amikin into a more capable helper or a tougher fighter.
4. Important Notes & Tips
- Mixed Blessings: An Amikin can have both positive and negative skills at once, especially if it was captured in the wild. Always check what you’ve got before deciding on its working role or sending it into battle.
- No Negatives from Eggs or Purchases: If you’re looking for the safest route to a reliable companion, consider hatching eggs or buying from the market—both methods ensure you’ll avoid any troublesome negative traits.
- Skill Inheritance: When an Amikin evolves, it retains all of its skills. This means a fortunate combination of positives can become even more powerful over time!
Take advantage of these details as you build your squad of Amikins. Whether you’re aiming for the fastest gatherers, the strongest protectors, or a balanced crew, understanding how skills work is the key to creating a formidable team in the world of Amiterra. Good luck, and may the luck of the skill roll be ever in your favor!
